  1. Heat oven to 375'F.
  2. Peel squash and cut into 1 Y2-inch chunks.
  3. In shallow roast- ing pan, toss squash with oil, maple syrup, and salt.
  4. Arrange in a single
  5. layer in pan and roast 35 to 40 minutes, turning every 10 minutes, until tender and golden.
  6. Meanwhile, in small saucepan,
  7. combine cranberries and sugar;
  8. cook over medium
  9. heat until sugar dissolves and coats cranberries.
  10. Toss cranberries and their syrup with roasted squash and transfer to serving dish.
