Ingredients

Directions

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef, chopped green pepper, chopped onion, and shredded carrot until the meat is browned and the vegetables are tender.
  2. Drain off any excess fat from the skillet.
  3. In a small bowl, combine 1/2 cup of sour cream, flour, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic salt.
  4. Stir the sour cream mixture into the meat and vegetable mixture in the skillet until well combined.
  5. On a lightly floured surface, roll the thawed puff pastry into an 18x12 inch rectangle.
  6. Cut the pastry into six 6-inch squares.
  7. Spoon about one-sixth of the meat filling into the center of each square.
  8. Lightly moisten the edges of the pastry squares with water.
  9. Fold all four corners of each square to the center over the filling.
  10. Seal the edges by crimping them firmly with a fork.
  11. Place the bundles in an ungreased shallow baking pan.
  12. Bake in a preheated 375F (190C) oven for about 25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.
  13. Meanwhile, in a small saucepan, combine the cream of mushroom soup and the remaining sour cream.
  14. Heat the sauce over low heat until warm and smooth.
  15. Spoon the warm sauce over the baked bundles before serving.

Note

Storage: Store leftover bundles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven at 350F to maintain crispiness.

Substitutions: You can use cream of chicken soup instead of mushroom if preferred. For a lighter version, use reduced-fat sour cream.

Tip: Ensure the puff pastry is fully thawed but still cold for best flakiness. If the pastry puffs too much during baking, you can gently press it down with a spatula.

Variation: Add cooked mushrooms or spinach to the filling for extra texture and nutrients.
