  1. Preheat oven to 350F (175C). Grease and flour cake pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together: Self-rising flour, Soft brown sugar.
  3. In another bowl, cream together: Egg.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  6. Bake until a toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto wire rack to cool completely.
