Ingredients

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly butter a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cook the macaroni according to package directions until al dente. Drain well.
  3. While the pasta cooks, prepare the turkey by cutting 2 cups of cooked turkey into 1-inch cubes.
  4. Drain the 28-ounce can of tomatoes and coarsely chop them.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the cooked pasta, cubed turkey, chopped tomatoes, 500ml cottage cheese, 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, 4 chopped green onions, 1 teaspoon dried marjoram, and 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper. Toss until evenly mixed.
  6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  7. Sprinkle 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs over the top of the casserole. Dot the breadcrumbs with small pieces of butter.
  8. Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the casserole is bubbling around the edges and the top is lightly golden brown.
  9. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving to allow the cheese to set slightly.
