Directions
-
In a large bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and dry yeast. Let stand for 5 minutes until foamy.
-
Stir in melted margarine, nonfat dry milk, and salt until well combined.
-
Add 3 cups of the bread flour, mixing one half cup at a time, to form a soft dough.
-
Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead until smooth and elastic, about 10 minutes.
-
Add remaining flour, one tablespoon at a time, if needed to prevent sticking.
-
Place dough in a large bowl coated with cooking spray, turning once to coat the top.
-
Cover and let rise in a warm place (85&# 194;°F), free from drafts, for 45 minutes or until doubled in size.
-
Punch dough down and divide it in half. Cover and let rest for 5 minutes.
-
Working with one portion at a time (cover remaining dough), roll each portion into a 14-inch circle on a lightly floured surface.
-
Cut each circle into 8 wedges. Roll up each wedge, beginning at the wide end, to form a crescent shape.
-
Place rolls, point side down, 2 inches apart on baking sheets coated with cooking spray.
-
Lightly coat tops of rolls with cooking spray. Let rise for 15 minutes.
-
Bake at 375ðF (191ðC) for 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
