Oven “Fries”
Description
These oven-baked potato wedges offer a healthier, guilt-free alternative to traditional deep-fried fries without sacrificing crunch or flavor. Using Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, the natural sugars caramelize beautifully in the hot oven, creating a crispy exterior while keeping the interior fluffy and tender. Tossed simply with olive oil, salt, paprika, and fresh ground pepper, these fries highlight the natural taste of the potato. They are a perfect side dish for weeknight dinners, BBQs, or as a satisfying snack. The high-heat roasting method ensures they come out golden brown and crispy, making them a crowd-pleaser for any occasion.Ingredients

Note
For extra crispiness, ensure the potato wedges are completely dry after washing and before tossing with oil. Moisture is the enemy of crisp baking.
Do not overcrowd the baking sheet. If the potatoes are touching, they will steam instead of roast. Use two sheets if necessary.
Russet potatoes have more starch and tend to get crispier on the outside, while Yukon Golds stay creamier on the inside. Choose based on your preference for texture.
Variations: Try adding garlic powder, dried rosemary, or a pinch of cayenne pepper to the spice mix for different flavor profiles.
Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or an air fryer to restore crispiness; microwaving will make them soggy.
